From the character in Shakespeare's Othello.
BREED / PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
China Brown (aka Chinese Brown).  Desdemona was about the same size as Lysander and perhaps a bit heavier.  She was certainly every bit as loud as he is.

PERSONALITY
Easygoing and sociable.  Desdemona was quite sweet and people-oriented and liked to be petted.  On occasion, she even climbed into my lap.  When she knew I had worms with me, she tended to try to climb up my legs with her wet, rubbery feet.

Deformed offspring and an undiagnosed fatal illness.  See Details.
HOBBIES

Building nests, eating worms, "marching" in puddles, and - of course - being squirted with the hose.
